BN30 socket thermostat
Plug in. Set room temperature. That's it!
Socket thermostat with temperature sensor
The thermostat BN30 enables temperature control of heating devices and air conditioners in steps of half a degree from 5 °C to 30 °C. To this end, simply plug the socket thermostat in between the heating device or air conditioner and a socket, and select the desired temperature. Via its integrated sensors, the device measures the current room temperature and regulates the heating device or air conditioner according to the desired nominal value.
The extremely simple handling and programming of the device enable a multitude of possible applications – for example, the BN30 is particularly suited for mobile heaters.
The respective current room temperature can be read conveniently from the large overview display, and the heating device or air conditioner can also be switched off permanently by the thermostat.
Moreover, the BN30 is fail-safe thanks to an integrated EEPROM making sure that the selected settings are maintained in the event of a power failure.
Practical tip: Ideally, the BN30 should be plugged into interior walls.
Examples of use:
- Switching auxiliary heaters
(e.g. infrared heating panels of the Trotec TIH series) - Ventilation control in greenhouses
- Temperature control in storage rooms
- Switching off anti-icing devices

WHICH THERMOSTAT IS BEST SUITED FOR WHICH APPLICATION?
Before purchasing the room thermostat, think about the applications for which you want to use the room thermostat. Also make sure that the heating or cooling appliance to be controlled is suitable for use with an external room thermostat.
As a general rule: Electrical devices that do not restart automatically after a power interruption are not suitable for use with an external room thermostat!
The following table gives you an overview of the different areas of application and the room thermostats suitable for them.

SOCKET THERMOSTAT WITH TEMPERATURE SENSOR
A digital socket thermostat like the socket thermostat BN30 is characterized by its simple handling and programming. When the desired target temperature has been set, the thermal sensor installed in the thermostat head measures the actual value of the room temperature and regulates the heating device or air conditioner connected according to the desired target value.
Characteristics of the digital socket thermostat BN30:
RADIO THERMOSTAT WITH ONE TRANSMITTER AND SEVERAL RECEIVERS
For the convenient control of several mobile devices with plannable switching times, we recommend the use of a multifunctional device like the radio thermostat BN35. The radio thermostat comprises a radio-controlled socket (receiver) and a radio handheld transmitter (transmitter). The radio thermostat in the handheld transmitter always measures the current room temperature of its surroundings. With the radio thermostat BN35, up to 100 switchable and adjustable radio-controlled sockets can be controlled simultaneously with only one transmitter over a range of up to 20 metres.
