Oil-filled radiators TRH 22 E / TRH 23 E
Cost-effective dual warmth for basic or additional heating – with PTC turbo blower
Work up the heating more quickly to tackle cold temperatures
Surely you're familiar with this scenario! It's storming and snowing outside, and even your living room or bedroom doesn't really get warm although the heating is working at full blast. You're shivering within your own four walls and you're longing for cosy warmth. Cool days in the transitional period when the weather is contrary and the central heating system is switched off are equally unpleasant. Then you are freezing in spite of covering yourself with a blanket on the sofa and cold feet are inevitable. In situations like these it is good to have already taken precautions and a powerful heating source is provided with the oil-filled radiator TRH 22 E or TRH 23 E, giving you soothing warmth quickly and reliably. The two devices that are structurally identical when it comes to their appearance differ with regard to the following properties:
Oil-filled radiator | Heating fins | 3 heating levels | Heating-up time | Room size |
---|---|---|---|---|
TRH 22 E | 9 | 800 / 1,200 / 2,400 watts |
10 min. | up to 25 m² / 60 m³ |
TRH 23 E | 11 | 1,000 / 1.500 / 2,900 watts |
8 min. | up to 30 m² / 75 m³ |
Feel-good warmth with turbo blower and reheating effect
The heating process is especially sped up when the two heating devices are additionally supported by turbo blowers. Since oil-filled radiators compared to fan heaters require approx. 8 to 10 minutes during commissioning until giving off the full heat output, the devices TRH 22 E and TRH 23 E are equipped with a ceramic PTC heating element with turbo fan, which heats up the room in no time beforehand. In this way you can already enjoy warm air before the radiator achieves its maximum heating capacity.
Good to know: Modern oil-filled radiators are still provided with the tried and tested heating fins, since this design ensures a maximum heating surface with an optimum heating capacity and effectiveness. The thermal oil used in the radiator is an excellent thermal energy reservoir, so that you can still enjoy a long lasting heat output even up to 30 minutes after the heating device has been switched off.
From permanent heating to the frost monitor
With their 3-level adjustable heating capacity, TRH 22 E and TRH 23 E supply thermostat-controlled temperatures in the range from 10 - 35 °C. Without a connected fan, the oil-filled radiators work in a completely noiseless, odourless fashion and without raising any dust, and therefore they are well suited for the use in households of allergy sufferers or in the bedroom.
The two mobile radiators are also suitable for heating rooms that are used irregularly like for example conservatories, guest rooms, garden houses, or also workshops and offices. In unheated garages and cellar rooms the radiators as frost monitors also provide reliable protection against frozen water pipes and further frost damage.
Effective dual heating technology for quicker heating
When it's cold there's only one thing that counts: quick and uncomplicated warmth that is directly perceptible. These are only some of the promises made by the dual heating technology of long-lasting thermal oil warmth and a directly heating hot air blower.
The turbo for quicker warmth: the on-demand ceramic PTC heater fan
In contrast to conventional radiators with which the air room heats up after some minutes with the increasing heating of the heating fins, the oil-filled radiators TRH 22 E and TRH 23 E are provided with an additional PTC heating element with turbo blower. The cold room air is drawn in via an air inlet, electrically heated up in the device interior with the ceramic PTC heating element and are then blown out again into the room via the turbo blower on the left and right side of the device. This additional amount of hot air perceptibly speeds up the initial heating process within the room until the thermal oil in the oil-filled radiator is running at its full heating capacity within approx. 8 to 10 minutes. Of course, the turbo blower can also be connected on demand or remain switched off.
Thermostat control keeps the heating costs under control
Enjoy pleasant feel-good temperatures – the heating device controls the heating capacity in a fully automatic fashion and the energy consumption! As soon as the desired temperature level has been adjusted via the stepless rotary control thermostat, the TRH 22 E or TRH 23 E takes over in an equally comfortable and energy-saving manner. When the desired room temperature is reached, the oil-filled radiator switches off automatically and the heater changes to the lowest heating level with a reduced energy consumption. Then the turbo blower is also switched off automatically. If the temperature falls below the value preselected, the radiator is switched on again automatically and heats on the heating level previously set.
This temperature control is effected automatically, the room temperature always remaining on a constant level. Positive side effect: The room can never be overheated and you do not blow unnecessary energy costs into the air.
This is how oil-filled radiators can supply warmth effectively
With their heating fins oil-filled radiators may look a lot like "normal" heaters – but quite contrary to them use electricity to heat the oil within. The so-called thermal oil is heated by electric current and gives off the heat to the room air via the heating fins. By the way, oil-filled radiators are usually equipped with heating fins because they form a larger surface, thus making the heating process very effective. Since the devices are mobile, they can be positioned in any room wherever heat is required.
The functional principle of an oil-filled radiator
Why is a radiator filled with oil and not with water? The reason for this is the fact that water expands when it is heated, and that it does not store heat quite as well. The thermal oil used in radiators, in contrast, has a much higher storage capacity. Even after the oil-filled radiator is switched off, it gives off heat for another good half an hour.
The TRH 22 E and TRH 23 E additionally feature an integrated hot air blower in the radiator. It serves to bridge the heating-up phase of the thermal oil, which approx. takes 8 to 10-minutes, by the warm air blown out by the fan.
Since the thermal oil is also a good insulator, heating resistors can be directly immersed in the oil, which makes the heat exchange again more effective. Then there is also the weight, because oil is lighter than water. This makes oil-filled radiators considerably more light-weight and easy to transport.
Modern heating technology that provides safety
Especially in families with children or animals the protection of mobile heating solutions plays an important role. Maximum operational safety is part of the basic design principle of the oil-filled radiators TRH 22 E and TRH 23 E!
Integrated tilt protection switch and overheating protection
Whether there are romping children, high-spirited pets or guests who act in an inadvertent fashion – the two heating devices prove a firm stand thanks to their broadly designed rollers. If the oil-filled radiators nevertheless actually start to sway in the heat of the moment, the integrated tilt protection switch switches off the device automatically.
In addition, a safety thermostat reliably prevents the operating temperature from being exceeded, which may for instance occur if the radiator is covered by jackets or other clothes. In this case, the device is switched off immediately by the overheating protection.
Mobile heat generation for every room
Due to the practical cable winder with its plug holder, both devices can be safely transported without the 1.4 m mains cable dangling about and becoming a dangerous trip hazard.
The smooth-running rollers and the integrated transport handle allow for a quick and flexible change of location. In this way, the two mobile radiators can even be quickly carried from one room to the other while it is still hot.
Whether you use them as a basic heating system, quick additional heat or as a convenient frost monitor – the oil-filled radiators TRH 22 E and TRH 23 E are perfect for the use in autumn, winter and spring as an economic heating solution for comfortable room heating.
Frost monitor function
Ideal for short-term property vacancies or temporarily used rooms
Using the stepless thermal control of our mobile oil-filled radiators you can also operate the devices in frost monitor operating mode. The heating device is then automatically activated by a thermostat to protect the rooms from frost and prevent excessive cooling. Functioning as frost guards, the oil-filled radiators are not only ideally suited for landlords and real estate companies – they also offer benefits for private and business people, who can thus keep vacant rooms and garages free from frost. Particularly rooms, conservatories or cellars which are not connected to a central heating system can be kept warm reliably in this way.
