Extremely versatile and powerful – with pressure fan for drying hollows
The classical all-rounder!
Whether you want to dehumidify and dry constructions sites, living spaces, bedrooms, shower and basement rooms, laundry rooms, weekend cottages, caravans, boats, or to continuously keep storage facilities, archives, laboratories, garages, bathrooms, washrooms and changing rooms dry – the powerful dehumidifier TTK 171 ECO is an especially economical solution for many typical commercial dehumidification tasks.
The carriage construction with handle bar, recessed handles and big wheels makes transporting even on difficult terrain or stairways much easier.
For quick start-up the dehumidifier TTK 171 ECO comes with an easy-care control panel with digital display of all functions. For hygrostat-controlled automatic operation the target value can be selected in percentage steps, this value will then be indicated along with the current actual value.
By means of the timer switch-on and switch-off time can be configured and owing to the integrated memory function the settings are saved even after a power interruption.
Permanent mode for construction drying applications
The possibility of connecting an external condensate drain – if required with an optional condensate pump – also makes the TTK 171 ECO ideally suitable for longer unattended dry keeping tasks, e.g. for construction drying.
With an optional air hose connection for drying hollows
In suspended ceilings, in bathtub hollows, in cassette walls or cable ducts – if moisture has entered hollows that are difficult to access, you should act quickly in order to prevent the formation of mould.
As the TTK 171 ECO is equipped with a special pressure fan, the device can also be used for the selective admission of dry air or for drying hollows. To do so, simply attach an air hose to the optionally available adapter connecting piece.
Radial fan with 3.2 MPa air pressure
The air hose can be installed in the hollow via inspection flaps or manually added apertures. With an air pressure of 3.2 MPa on the outlet side, the radial fan mounted in the TTK 171 ECO offers an especially extensive throwing range. The dry air is induced into the hollow via the air hose connected on the air outlet by means of an adapter. The air that has been blown in then escapes again through an aperture that is already available or that has been added manually in the hollow casing, in this way allowing for the moisture to be dried out by and by.
Note: If heavy dirt, dust or even mould has settled in the hollow, the space should not be inhabited or used at the time the drying process is carried out, if possible, since otherwise the dust particles and mould spores may spread everywhere. In this case we recommend additionally using an air cleaner.
Investment protection for your drying devices
Particularly during construction drying operations in summer or when drying water damages, it is very likely that climate conditions arise which may significantly shorten the lifetime of condenser dryers – regardless of the make. Fan assistance
Quicker construction drying by air circulation
The drying time can be reduced by half if construction dryers and fans are combined. In doing this, each dryer is supplemented with a fan, which significantly improves the drying performance and thus also the duration of the drying process.
The increased air circulation results in a quicker evaporation of the humidity, for the higher the flow rate at the material surface, the sooner will the drying process be completed.
The axialfans of the TTV series and TTV-S series are especially suitable to provide assistance with regard to the drying process.
Accessory tip:
External condensate pump for continuous operation
This optionally available condensate pump is compatible with all TTK-ECO models from Trotec and is ideally suited for longer, unattended dry keeping applications. With a pump height of up to 5 metres the condensate can be pumped from the collection container of the construction dryer into a larger container or outside. This makes it possible to let the construction dryer run in continuous operation without a full collection container interrupting the dehumidification process.
