Border joint nozzle, stainless steel
Play it safe with the Trotec border joint nozzle …
Comparison pays – also in case of the equipment accessories, which are only “marginally” required … Border joint nozzles are no scarce goods. They come in many different designs and from various suppliers. But not all of them can keep what they promise at first sight. Considering the fact that every drying chain is only ever as strong as its weakest equipment link, it is well worth watching out for small but nevertheless decisive details when selecting the right border joint nozzle.
The Trotec border joint nozzle was developed by experienced fluid mechanics engineers and comes with an optimum flow geometry. Result: The nozzle's cross-section exceeds that of the feeding air hose, which results in very favourable pressure and flow conditions.
Furthermore, the Trotec border joint nozzle is provided with high-quality, elastic cellular rubber seals.
The use of conventional nozzles without suitable sealing inevitably leads to leakage losses when the wall or surface areas aren't absolutely level. The seals of the Trotec border joint nozzle however come with a very good resilience value and always perfectly adjust to the surface irregularities of floor and walls.
Moreover, some models on the market are designed in wedge shape to be inserted into the screed edge. Here flow leakage is bound to occur, when the wall is not completely even and the screed edge not dead straight. Conditions, which in reality are hardly ever to be met.
Furthermore, design related, noticeable performance losses are imminent in case of wider joints and when hitting the joint there is the danger of compressing residual screed and a consequential reduction of the air flow.
With the Trotec border joint nozzle the screed edge is irrelevant, since it is not part of the sealing system. Here, wider joints also yield a good efficiency factor, because the sealing system is designed variably applicable to a joint width of 35 mm and the air current can use this larger cross-section without hindrance.
Furthermore, the Trotec border joint nozzle comes with especially slanted clamping plates which do not compress residual screed when inserted in the joint, but push it aside instead. Owing to the curvature, there is little resistance when inserting the nozzle.
Since the clamping plates are not situated in the injection cross-section, it is not reduced even if there happened to be a compaction of material. Residual material in the injection cross-section is engulfed by air and usually doesn't lead to a reduction of the free cross-section.
