An ideal system of various combinable equipment options ensures maximum versatility for your TAC XT
The multi air handler TAC XT (1) can be operated via touchscreen. It is characterised by a powerful air circulating fan and a high-performance heating unit that is available with heating capacities of 18 kW (TAC XT 18) or up to 27 kW (TAC XT 27). In addition, various system components are available which have been designed to form a reliable synergy with the vertical heater.
DualDecon blowing-out tower
As standard, the TAC XT is equipped with the DualDecon blowing-out tower (2).
This blowing-out tower serves for a dual decontamination application: Firstly, it provides thermal decontamination with an even 360° heat distribution throughout the room. Secondly, the device filters viruses and pollutants from the air – even in combined operation with the heating function. For this purpose, the optional H14 HEPA filter can be installed beneath the blowing-out tower. With the DualDecon blowing-out tower, the TAC XT can be used for all kinds of application areas.
Optional flowstop shutters
Flowstop shutters are also available as accessories for the DualDecon blowing-out tower. These shutters can be attached to one of the four insides of the tower. This prevents up to three sides of the tower from discharging air, e.g. if discharged air is not desired or not required on the respective side(s).
Attachment hood for hose connection
Can be attached to the TAC XT instead of the blowing-out tower. Serves for both connecting the device to existing ventilation systems or to textile air distribution systems and to the connection to pipe bends. The attachment hood for hose connection (ø 300 mm) offers space for installing the H14 HEPA filter (optional) so that both exclusive or combined air purification is possible.
DualHeat blowing-out tower
This blowing-out tower serves for a dual heating application: Firstly, for thermal treatment, directly positioned in the respective room, providing an equal 360° heat distribution. Secondly, for a connection to existing ventilation systems or textile air distribution systems. For this purpose, the DualHeat blowing-out tower (5) has already been equipped with a hose connection apparatus located at the bottom of the device. If required, the blowing-out tower can simply be turned and inserted into the TAC XT. This way, the connector side provides a hose connection with ø 300 mm.
The option to turn the DualHeat blowing-out tower offers maximum flexibility to all users who do not require HEPA air filtration.
HighFlow H14 HEPA filter
This fully encapsulated H14 metal lamella high-temperature filter "made in Germany" (4), developed exclusively by Trotec, is heat-resistant and characterised by a separation efficiency of 99.995 % for particle sizes of 0.1 to 0.2 µm. Thus, it complies with filter class H14 according to EN 1822. The efficiency of this filter ensures that 99,995 of 100,000 microparticles floating in the air will be effectively filtered!
The highlight is: Viral strains such as SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 show similar particle sizes. Recent studies have specified the particle size of a coronavirus to 120 to 160 nanometres (0.12 to 0.16 µm). That's why these particle sizes can be effectively filtered with the high-performance H14 filter, especially because viruses in the air tend to accumulate with saliva or suspended matters, forming larger aerosol conglomerates.
Ultra-HighFlow HEPA H14 filter
Compared to the HighFlow HEPA H14 filter, the more powerful Ultra-HighFlow HEPA H14 filter allows for a 66 % higher clean air flow rate combined with a noise emission reduce by up to 8 % and an energy consumption that is lower by 30 %.
Sound protection hood
The sound protection hood, available as an accessory for the TAC XT, is recommended for use in noise-sensitive areas such as schools, offices or medical practices. With the sound protection hood, the subjectively perceived noise can be reduced by up to 50 % yet again. Mounting kit included in the scope of delivery.
Device version with swivel castors or feet
In addition to the carriage design with foot, the TAC XT is also available as a special version equipped with four feet or with swivel castors with wheel lock.
Included in the standard scope of delivery: A TAC XT with DualDecon blowing-out tower. Filter elements and other system components are optionally available.

TAC XT – one device, two power versions, four key applications
An optional H14 HEPA filter can be used singly for room air purification or as an effective virus filter system for on-demand thermal decontamination as well as in combined heating operation for synchronous room heating and air purification.
With 18 or 27 kW heating power, the TAC XT provides draught-free warm air throughout the room with a working radius of 360° and can also be used to connect a fabric air distributor or air distribution systems. Simultaneous HEPA air purification is also possible.
