Measurement and control of parameters in test stands

Full control in the automotive industry

Different climatic conditions are simulated in various test stands for the purpose of vehicle or component quality assurance. The Trotec Group offers an extensive range of state-of-the-art measuring devices and data loggers to measure these parameters – many of these are either "made in Germany" or "made in Europe".

When testing vehicle energy systems, gears, axes, engines, hydraulic systems, emissions and different components ambient temperatures ranging from -40 to +130 degrees are being tested. Depending on the test object, the humidity can amount to values between 10 and 95 per cent. A precisely defined and documented invariant climate is required during the individual test runs, so that reliable results can be derived from the tests.

Full control by means of measuring devices and data loggers

For use in the automotive industry, the Trotec Group provides measuring devices for all common tasks: These include anemometers, layer thickness measuring devices, pyrometers and thermohygrometers, gas and leak detectors, thermal imaging cameras, sound level measuring devices, material moisture measuring devices, industrial videoscopes and data loggers. Further used in the test stands of the automotive industry are data loggers of the DL series. Different requirement specifications are covered by several model variants. All data loggers of the DL series are suited for use in test stands, especially the DL200X. In this particular case we went without internal sensors so that a number of external sensors can be connected. All data loggers of the DL series come with a LAN interface for data to be read externally. Based on this analysis the humidity level can be perfectly controlled using adsorption dryers of the TTR series. To control the room temperature, we have heating devices of the TEH series on offer.
